Increasing Enrolment
In his remarks after touring the campus, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, said the team was satisfied with the state of the facilities and arrangements put in place by Management of NSBT. “We have seen the structures and the arrangements that have been put in place to welcome our first-year students who have been assigned to NSBT campus,” he indicated.
Prof Boampong noted that NSBT was selected as a satellite campus of UCC to help increase enrolment following the completion of the first batch of the Free Senior High School students. “The current facilities on our campus are not enough to admit the number of qualified applicants who have applied to UCC, so we approached NSBT to use their campus,” he explained. The Vice-Chancellor noted that some of the first-year students in the School of Business and the Department of Business Education would be accommodated and have their lectures at NSBT campus.

He thanked the current and immediate past Vice-Chancellors for making this dream a reality. “UCC is our mentoring institution and we are grateful for the support we continue to enjoy from you, not to mention your acceptance to make NSBT your satellite campus,” he remarked.
